A Crisis Without Borders
Children at the Epicenter
Medical care for children is extremely limited, and vaccines are difficult to obtain in conflict zones. In some areas, pediatric clinics operate without electricity, proper hygiene, or even basic medicines. Children are not just collateral damage in this crisis; they are paying the highest price. For those looking to donate to Yemen, reaching these children with aid must remain a top priority.
Shelter, Water & Health Services Crippled
In 2024 alone, Yemen was hit by seasonal flash floods that worsened the already severe humanitarian situation. Over 34,000 homes were damaged or destroyed, pushing already displaced families into overcrowded and often unsanitary shelters. Many live in makeshift tents or crumbling buildings exposed to the elements, lacking toilets or running water.
A Toll on Women and Girls
Women and girls face unique and often life-threatening challenges in this crisis. With male family members often killed, missing, or unable to work, women are increasingly heading households, despite having limited access to income or support. Female-headed households represent around 26% of displaced families, and many are living in extreme poverty.
Al-Qulub Trust works with local partners and charities for Yemen to support women and girls through protective services, shelter, and healthcare access.
