The Current Crisis
Since November 2024, violence in northwest Syria has intensified, with ongoing hostilities spreading across Idlib, Aleppo, and Hama. The civilian population in these regions continues to suffer from heavy airstrikes, shelling, and ground fighting, exacerbating an already dire humanitarian crisis.
Within a week of escalating hostilities, at least 69 civilians, including 26 children and 11 women, were killed in northwest Syria. In addition, 228 others were reportedly injured, including 88 children and 53 women, nearly two-thirds of the total casualties.
Thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes in search of safety, and many are now living in overcrowded camps with limited access to basic necessities, including food, clean water, and medical care. This humanitarian appeal for Syria is more vital than ever, as countless families face daily survival challenges amidst the violence.
